What costs are not covered by tuition? Tuition for pre-kindergarten through grade 4 includes all course, activity and supply fees. For grades 5 through 12 there is an additional fee for books which is estimated at $300.00. Is there a discount for more than one child in the family? For parents with more than one child enrolled in grades kindergarten through 12, tuition amounts are reduced by 5% for each additional child. Multi-student family discounts are not applicable for students enrolled in the pre-kindergarten program. What tuition payment plans are available? A $500 tuition-reducing deposit is due when an enrollment contract is returned. The balance is payable by either the cash payment plan (June 1) for the monthly payment plan (July-May). Interest is charged to monthly accounts. Students re-enrolling are granted a discount if tuition is paid in full by early enrollment payment dates set by the business office. How much additional fund-raising can be anticipated: Like all independent schools, The Heritage School needs and seeks support beyond tuition. The cost of tuition covers only approximately 80% of the cost of educating a student. The school conducts an Annual Giving Campaign each fall with the goals of 100% family participation. Some families can afford to contribute generously, and others contribute small amounts, but the total amount raised, is of critical importance to enrich the opportunities and educational experience provided by The Heritage School. Is financial aid available? The value of an independent school education is life changing, but there
are costs involved. Some families need financial help in making it affordable
for them. The We ask candidates to apply for financial aid as early as possible, because funds are not unlimited. Forms are available through the Admissions Office upon request. |
The admissions process at The Heritage School is designed to be selective as to character and academic promise. Both attributes are essential for a rewarding experience at the school. Recognizing that there is not one school that is right for every student, The Heritage School seeks, through its admissions process, to make the best possible match of student and school. The school welcomes students who have average to above-average aptitude, whose goals in life include a college education, and who have a reasonable chance of having a successful educational experience at our school. To this end, members of the Admissions Committee carefully review all submitted materials. Prospective students enrolling in grades 2 through 12 must perform on or above current grade level on a nationally recognized instrument designed to measure achievement levels in reading, mathematics, and language. Students who are entering kindergarten or first grade must score average or better on a school administered readiness test. All applicants must submit a completed application form, with a $50.00 non-refundable application fee. Applicants will be assessed on the following: Pre-kindergarten (3 & 4) 2008 - 2009 TUITION Early Childhood….….$6,580 Pre-kindergarten……..$6,580 Kindergarten…………$9,360 Grades 1-6………..……$11,955 Grades 7-12……………$12,455 |
