Parents Students Faculty/Staff Alumni Home

There is no one school that is right for every family, or even for every child in the same family. Choosing the most appropriate school requires serious thought. At school, children gain skills crucial for future success, and shape lifelong attitudes toward self, others and learning. We urge parents and students alike to give this decision the time and attention it deserves.

We appreciate your interest in The Heritage School. For over three decades, we have been preparing students not only for college--but for life. We are proud of our program, and the unique learning environment we provide.

We hope that this section of our website will answer many of your questions regarding our school and the process of applying for admission. However, to discover what The Heritage School truly has to offer your child and family, please plan to visit us. We look forward to meeting with you.

The Heritage School was founded in 1970 to create an outstanding educational alternative for the families of Coweta, Fayette, and surrounding counties. An independent, co-educational, college preparatory, nonsectarian day school, Heritage serves a student population from three years of age through graduation from high school. A non-profit corporation, the school is governed by an elected Board of Trustees.

The mission of the school is to prepare students for success in college and life by setting high academic and personal standards; providing curricular and other programs which challenge individuals to achieve their highest potential; and creating an environment of participation, friendship, and trust.

The 63-acre campus is set in the midst of a producing pecan grove, and also includes an undeveloped wooded area for outdoor activities. It features four classroom buildings, a media/technology center, a student life center, an athletic complex, an early learning center, an administration building, a writing lab, athletic fields, and an outdoor adventure area.

The Heritage School is located five miles north of Newnan, Georgia, on Highway 29, Newnan, seat of Coweta County, is 35 miles southwest of Atlanta and 30 minutes from the Atlanta International Airport. Heritage attracts students from Newnan, Peachtree City, Tyrone, Fayetteville, Palmetto, Fairburn, Carrollton, Douglasville, Riverdale, and other local communities. School bus service is available in many of these areas.
