French Exchange Trip 2007

During the summer of 2007, Heritage students participated in a summer cultural and linguistic exchange with a city in Vendargues, France.  Vendargues is located in southern France near the Mediterranean Sea.

Six French students along with a Heritage chaperone traveled to France in early July and lived with a host family for 15 days.  During this time, Vendargues also had teenage exchange students from Spain, and Scotland, and we represented the U.S.A!  Our students experienced the daily life of a teenager in their host city and met and interacted with French, Spanish, and Scottish people their age.  They spent time at the beach on the Mediterranean Sea and they also went into the mountains for kayaking, hiking, and other outdoor experiences.  After their visit, our students returned home with their exchange partner who lived with them for the next 15 days.  Together, we showed them the sites around the Atlanta area.

The trip was a great success and we hope to provide this opportunity each summer.
